How to shop tax free in Singapore?

In most cases, 7% GST are levied on all goods and services consumed in Singapore. Premier Tax Free and Global Refund are two service providers in Singapore processing GST Refunds for tourists.

When you shop around in Singapore, especially in Marina Bay, Bugis or Orchard Road Shopping Malls, take note of the signs 'Premier Tax Free' or 'Tax Free' which are being displayed in some of the shops. As a tourist, these shops may issue you a Premier Refund Voucher or Global Refund Shopping Cheque if your purchase is more than S$100.

When leaving Singapore, you then show your vouchers or cheques together with the items, receipts and passport to the Customs officer at the GST Refund Inspection Counter to claim your refunds.
