Night Safari Singapore

A Complete Guide to Tour Night Safari Smartly

Why Night Safari is a Must-See Tourist Attraction?

Night Safari Singapore held its grand opening on 26 May 1994, it is a popular tourist attraction, earning itself the reputation of being the world's very first nocturnal zoo. Nestled in 40 hectares of lush forestry, the landscaped gardens are home to 130 different animal species, adding up to a total population of over 1000.

Wandering through the constructed paths and boardwalks of the Night Safari brings you through themed landscaped enclosures with barriers virtually unseen by visitors. This moonlit environment is perfect as animals such as the Himalyan Tahr, Bharal, Vultures, Wolves, the Asian Rhino, the striped Hyena and sloth bear, go about their night, completely oblivious to our presence, making it a true eye-opening experience.

The awards received by the Night Safari Singapore include being the Best Theme Attraction, one of the 10 Most Popular Experiences in Asia, Best Natural and Man-made Attraction worldwide, Best Leisure Attraction Experience and Top 10 Best Family Experiences.

With such a reputable image, the Night Safari can't help but to draw an eclectic crowd that includes not only celebrities, but also royalty such as the King of Malaysia, Crown Prince of Brunei and the President of Costa Rica. Although their visits may have made for star-studded evenings, we know for certain who the real stars of the show were.

What Not to Miss

You have to take the tram and walk the trails in order to see the most part of Night Safari. Sitting in the tram can't take you close enough to the animals. They are still too far to be seen clearly in a dimly light environment. Walking in the dark is also fun and a good experience to have, especially for couples and family with children.
