Singapore Little India
Lively Streets, Spicy Food and Inspiring Temples
Why Visit Little India?
Singapore Little India is a vibrant place where you could see local indians come here to do their daily marketing and socializing with each other. Unlike Chinatown, which were more like a tourist hangout, this place was not put together for the sake of tourism.
This is a great place where you would find it easy to chat with the locals as indians here are mostly friendly and easygoing. You will have no difficulty to start a conversation with a roadside stallholder or a grocery shop assistant. And most of them are willing to pose happily in front of your camera upon your request.
If curry is your favourite food, there are numerous indian restaurants in the area that serve a variety of tasty and authentic Indian Food. There is a row of indian restaurants that scattered along Chander Road and Race Course Road you would not want to miss.
Indian Temples are fascinating. If you have not yet visited any one of them, I would highly recommend you to take a look at one of the following temples along Serangoon Road:
Lastly, don't forget to grab yourself an indian handicraft at one of the shops that lined Campbell Lane.
