Two Giant Shopping Malls in Downtown Singapore

Located in Central South district, the shopping malls in Marina Bay area have recently been made famous by Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort, which is a casino cum resort project awarded to Las Vegas Sands. While the hype has shifted, the retail spotlight still remains on the shopping malls here.

Raffles City Shopping Centre

Seated directly above the City Hall MRT train station, this would be the ideal place to start your shopping around the area. This complex houses interlinks of an office, a mall and a hotel. Among its tenant are great retail spots like the award-winning department store, Robinsons & Co., River Island, Top Shop and higher-end names like Coach, Bally, Swarovski and Kate Spade.

Marina Square

Spanning over the size of seven football fields, Marina Square comprises of four floors of retail space with over 300 shop outlets including global brands like Top Shop, Zara, Muji and CLUBMARC. If an entire day's worth of shopping gets the better of you, you might like to visit Kenko's to end your day off with a relaxing foot massage.

Suntec City Mall

This large shopping mall is divided into four themed zones -Galleria, Tropics, Entertainment Centre and Fountain Terrace, which features the famous Fountain of Wealth, awarded the title of the largest fountain in the world by The Guinness Book of Records. This mall stocks on names like Mango, Toys 'R' Us and a hypermarket called Carrefour, which sells everything from fresh meats and seafood to electronic goods.
